Christmas Crackers..

Its that time of the year again where most of us love it, but some of us loathe it-the work christmas party. From previously working in a clothing store around the Christmas period I know how much some of you stress to find the perfect party piece. You don't want to go over the top, you don't want to be under dressed but you want to make it look like you have made the effort.
This is what I used to hear every time someone came in looking for something to wear and even now I'm not in a clothing store I still have people saying to me they don't know what to wear or they can't find anything that suits them!
At the weekend I was at Christmas party (even though I don't work there anymore-crasher!!) I opted for a simple black knee length dress. So many of you guys commented on it which was so lovely, so I decided to pop up a few outfit choices for your up coming Christmas party!

As always my entire outfit was from River Island, and my beautiful sisters outfit was also from River Island, we gotta rep after all it was a River Island Christmas partyyy!

Black Friday Deals..

That time of the year again folks, the busiest online shopping day of the year!
How crazy is it that it is the end of November? Where the heck did that year go to?!

Some people don't even know what black Friday is, they are totally oblivious to it all. For years it was just an American thing, but over the past five years it has boomed in the UK market Each year is getting bigger and better with shops offering crazy deals for not only black Friday but thought-out the week and weekend.

Why is it called Black Friday?
Since it originated in the States, it falls the day after Thanksgiving and usually is deemed the start of the Christmas shopping season with most people being off work for the holidays. With it the being the busiest day in the shopping calendar is takes most of the retailers out of the ''red'' and into the ''black'' (profit)- so hence the name!

So now you are all caught up in what it is actually about, I've pulled out some of the best deals on the market for Fashion, Beauty products and lots more that are all going live on Black Friday. Some of them are already live but most of them are happening on Friday itself. Happy shopping folks, and good luck. Lots and lots of patience and possibly coffee is needed for the biggest online shopping day of the year!

Top Tip; only buy what you need/what you went online for in the first place. It is so easy to get sidetracked and sucked in with all the offers!

Thanks for reading, Emma Jane xx

ASOS-20% off almost everything! (code; GOGOGO)
Not only is this great for picking out some fabulous clothes from their own brand it also stocks the likes of River Island, Boohoo, Calvin Klein and many more which are all likely so sell out on their own websites first- so this is great for a back up plan!
ASOS also carry some great make up brands, including the likes of Nars and NYX. So if the make up brand you were hoping to grab with some money off on another website isn't doing a discount or is sold out, check out ASOS and see if they have it in stock!

Pretty Little Thing-(up to 50% off)
This amazing promo started on Thursday morning and will end at midnight on Thursday offering up to 50% off everything- and only £1.99 delivery. Some of the pieces on PLT are so perfect for all those christmas outings coming up and presents for your girlfriends! I do think they will drop something else on Friday-just a prediction tho!

New Look weekender-(up to 50% off)
Like most of the big stores they have decided to make a weekend out of it. Offering deals from Thursday right through to Cyber Monday, with up to 50% off women and mens wear. New look is one of those shops that seem to get it right the whole year through and the prices are always great, so having any kind of deals on is amazing-your sure to pick something up for nothing!

Disney-(20% off)
Not everybody's presents this year are going to be either fashion, beauty or even electrical goods. How great is this offer, 20% off your favourite cuddly toys or even that Elsa dress a little princess has been dying to get her hands on! It however doesn't include, gift cards, books or limited edition items. The discount is already applied to the items online, no need to look for a code.

Selfridges-(up to 20% off &10% off beauty)
I think this is my FAVOURITE offer! Selfridges is the ultimate department store, so a massive 20% off is a lot, when the items you are looking to purchase are a lot of money. The 10% off beauty is great for some of the more exclusive brands, however this is when shopping about comes in really handy. The 20% off at asos works out better for some of the brands.

Superdrug-(save up to 60%)
Last year Superdrug had great savings over so many brands and this year they have stepped up the game even more offering up to 60% off. Perfume, Aftershave, Make up and brush sets being up there with the best of the offers. The best offers again are online rather than in shops, as well as better offers being available for super drug card holders.

Make up Pro Stores-(20% off)
This is for you local gals, the pro stores in Belfast, Newry and Derry are offering 20% off across everything in store. They stock brands such as Lime Crime, Ilmasqua, Zoeva-perfect for your make up loving friend! Or if you just want to treat yourself.

Boots-(deals all weekend)
Boots is one of the stores that steps up their game every year, it gets bigger and bigger each year offering better deals than ever before. Some of the items have already dropped though out the week but saving the best for last on Friday. Along with so much more this has been my favourite deal dropped by boots-the Real Technique mega brush set down to £40 from £100.

Very-(deals dropping daily/hourly)
All week Very have been dropping different deals each day, from homeware to fashion to the big electrical goods. Last year on Black Friday itself they changed the deals hourly and they were unreal-some of them saving you £200/£300 and more. This year I think Friday is going to be the biggest day for them again launching something special. So well worth keeping an eye on what exactly their deal tomorrow is going to be.

Dorothy Perkins-(up to 50% off)
As you all know Dorothy Perkins is one of my favourite clothing shops, it is always so on point for me. They are having up to 50% off everything including shoes, dresses and coats. So tat sparkly christmas dress you wanted for your staff party, is calling out you name anddd so is the shoes to match! Treat yourself!

Forever21-(deals from £3)
Items from £3? How can you say no to that, Forever21 have a sneak preview online for what is going down on Friday. I mean who doesn't need a fully sequinned bomber jacket?!

Hotel & Flight deals
More and more companies are getting involved in black Friday each year and this year it includes some of the biggest hotel and flight chains too. Have a certain hotel chain you love? Sign up to their mailing list and you'll be the first to know when and what the deal they have planned is. Most hotels are doing rooms including dinner and breakfast for £100, which at the minute is pretty darn good considering hotel prices have sky rocketed this year, so keep an eye for your favourite hotel.
Flights are another thing adding to the ever growing black Friday deals, and Ryanair have jumped on the bandwagon offering flights including taxes and chargers for £9.99? Seriously a bus ride isn't even £9.99 these days, like everything on Friday you'll have to be quick, I can't imagine these lasting long!

Tommy Hilfiger-(20% off)
20% off selected lines, such a good time to invest in a good coat! I got one last year and it still doesn't look a day old, so comfy and keeps you super warm!

Beauty Bay-(up to 30% off selected lines)
What girls doesn't love Beauty Bay at best of times never mind with up to 30% off products, no need to even talk about this one just go go goo!!

Keep an eye out on my Facebook page tomorrow for more deals that go live as the day goes on, some stores change their deals every hour or two so as soon as I find out, I will be posting them on there first.

Ladies Day outfits..

Hey guys and gals!

As you all know from my social media accounts (me constantly snapping! -emmajanemooney   ) I was at Down Royal Racecourse on Saturday past for Ladies day. As long as I can remember I have always wanted to go to an event like this, Aintree Ladies Day is the ultimate girls day out! So when the opportunity to attend Ladies day at Down Royal came up, I was all for it!

First thing on my mind, what the heck do I wear? Do I go casual? Do I go over the top? Do I get the biggest hat or no hat at all? Nothing like the stress of not knowing what to wear, such a crisis I was in eh?

I had 6 dresses and 5 coats delivered to my house one evening and thought I was sorted with an outfit, but none of them wear screaming yes at me? You know when you love an outfit and think, it is so beautiful but it just doesn't seem like the one? I sound like a bride waiting for her ultimate dress to pop out at her here! I had then seen the most delicate floral print dress on ASOS and fell in love, I knew what shoes, coat, head piece everything I would match with it- however they didn't have my size. But typical girl, I ordered it anyway! When it came it actually fitted me. (tight squeeze never the less!) Then my size came back in stock three days before the Races, I thought happy days I'm sorted! But on the same night it came back in stock me and my Mum were looking online and came across the Chi Chi dress. As soon as my Mum seen it she fell in love and thought it would be perfect, so we ordered it and started building accessories with it.

Heres the outfit I was going to wear;

Dress
Shoes
Headpiece
Coat

Marmalade in Ballymena is one of my favourite shops as you all know, and not only do they stock clothes they do the most amazing range of accessories too. Just that week a range of faux fur collars had landed in store. Now to me personally I look at winters Ladies day as gloves, feathers and faux fur so I knew straight away I was going to be able to work this into the outfit. So Marmalade (as always) sorted me out with this beautiful jade green collar to compliment the colours in my dress!

I had this bag from a wedding last year and the colour matched my shoes perfectly, the only thing I wanted was to add some detail to both the bag and my collar to make it more personal. Queue the AMAZING Sara from Red Thread Bespoke Fascinators and my ever so talented Mum and- Ta Dah!

When I went to Saras to pick a Fascinator there were so many to choose between, and if I didn't see any I liked or in my exact colour or wasn't exactly what I wanted, Sara could make me a custom made one! Luckily this one was available and in our opinion tied in so well with the rest of the outfit. It was exactly what I had said I wanted, the feathers and colours were so perfect and it was just the right size for me. She really went above and beyond what I expected, highly recommend this girl!

Sara gave me a couple of extra feathers that matched the head piece so I could work them into my collar and bag. Again my Mum put the feather into my collar, got three pairs of earrings to add that little bit more onto it, working the pearl from the headpiece into the rest of the collar. I think this really brought out the pearlescent look out from the white flowers from the dress.
I loved how it turned out, the extra added bits totally made it. We then added some of the extra feathers onto my bag, by using none other than body tape?! The ideas we come up with in my house, but it worked so well and they didn't budge all day! again-My Mum is the best!

My gloves were the last thing to arrive and they finished the look of for me, just gave it that Ladies day feel!

The outfits on the day were amazing, every single Lady had put so much effort in. Both Joanne and myself were put forward for best dressed, so having someone appreciate the effort and style was such a lovely feeling! Everyones interpretation of their ladies day fashion was fantastic and so lovely to meet so many fabulous ladies on the day. Here are some of my personal favourites, along with best dressed herself, Cleo Parkinson in that amazing sold out Topshop suit and hand made head piece by Lori Muldoon.

All dresses are also tagged for your handiness.
Hope you enjoy your holiday Cleo and congrats to everyone else on putting in the effort! Until next time Down Royal..

Thanks for reading girls, Emma Jane x
