I cannot believe it's spring again, how quickly has time went? But boy, am I happy, I love this time of year and all of the clothes and colours it brings with it!
So, on Friday night my friend and I went to the designer collection of Belfast Fashion Week (thanks to West Coast Cooler for my tickets!) to see all the latest trends and upcoming designers. I've been looking forward to this since last years, it's such a fantastic evening. Just like last year, the venue was super chic, with lots of pop up stalls, food and drink and even somewhere to get a massage or a manicure if you could get squeezed in! When you walk in, you're greeted by a lovely photographer who takes your picture, and makes you feel so welcomed - so we got our photos taken, both together and separately, and I got interviewed about my outfit and my style for the Belfast Telegraph!
After a manicure, a drink and a look at some of the stalls we were seated and ready to go, with lovely goody bags sitting waiting for us!
That's what I love about this, some shops or designers you have never heard of start to become your new favourites!
I was so pleased with this, as I loved my outfit, I had it for ages before and couldn't wait to get wearing it. But a couple of days before I tried it on and didn't like it at all, I think I had looked at it too many times. But when I had my tan, make up and hair done I loved it all together again!
I had got the skirt first in River Island, of course, and completely fell in love with it - I knew straight away it was for Fashion Week! Then worked around it trying to get an outfit together. I knew I had these shoes in the house which I've never actually worn before, and I love the two colours together, so went along with that. Then popped into a little shop called Marmalade in Ballymena and seen this jacket and thought it would be so perfect with it, just to pull the blue colours together- and it did so well, very 'Sex and the City' if I do say so myself! So all in all, another successful season at BFW, lots of lovely clothes and colours seen- don't know if my bank balance agrees though!!
Thanks for reading, Emma Jane xx
