Coachella dreaming..

When I was shooting this look the weather probably wasn't appropriate- butttt then again when is it ever here?! Seeing as it's festival season and everyone at Coachella was killing it, I thought I'd put together a festival style outfit!

I am completely in love with New Look at the moment, they have this look down to a fine art with the selections to pick from- this whole look is from there- except my shoes which I'm still obsessing over!

I love the boho girl/festival type of look, everyone suits it! Kimonos are one of those things that everyone can wear and everyone suits, they can completely make an outfit for how little material they actually are and the little price tag that goes along with them! For wearing like I've styled here, with a tee and jeans, with shorts and boots for a festival, or even throwing over the top of your bikini by the pool, literally so much wear can be had from these!
I saw this skirt a few times and loved it, but wanted to get something that I loved as much as it to wear with it. The suede feel and colour of it won me over, along with the simple A-line style of it! (And I knew I could pair it with my amazing tan shoes!)
The top is another bargain piece, but it's also one of those tops which I will wear so much, a simple white vest- I mean how can you go wrong? (It is quite see through though so I put a string vest underneath it- I wouldn't want to scare anyone haha!) I didn't add a necklace to this, as I felt it needed to be plain on top as the kimono was enough on its own, I would have loved to add a head piece, but I do not suit them at all even though I think they are so lovely- and work so well with this type of look! Culottes are calling..

Ok first of all- I am not this orange! The white background, lighting and what I'm wearing doesn't help but I promise I wasn't this tangoed! Haha

When these first started to come back into style, I wasn't too sure on them and I was always too scared to try them and see - but I loved the print on these ones and finally gave in and tried them on- and ended up loving them! They are so comfortable to wear, as you don't need to pull or poke at them all night. I feel casual, but dressed up at the same time due to my heels and crop top! Finding a top to go with this was harder than I thought though; I had originally got a thin strap crop top in black, but thought it needed the light colour on top to bring out the style in the bottom half more, so when I seen this I knew it would go perfectly- not too much skin showing either. I paired it with a pair of pointy heels, rather than barely there sandals as I thought the strap around my ankle cut my legs off, and with the pointy heels it made my legs look that little bit longer. The white coat made an appearance once again and it went perfectly- making it nice and light rather than a black coat. The necklace was a little three piece set from Miss Selfridge and I just decided to wear one of them instead of layering them or having a statement necklace- I wanted it to be about the culottes rather than a big chunky necklace taking over!
