SoSueMe Workshop..

Hey lovelies! New and old it would seem, there are a lot more readers from the weekend and its great!
As most of you will know, I traveled down to Buncrana on Friday evening to attend SoSueMe's workshop. Ive been wanting to go to one for what seems like a life time, and when it was realeased that it was coming this close to me, well it was obvious I had to go!

About two and a half years ago, Suzanne opened a shop up the road from me and I went along to the opening. She gave a short story about how she set up SoSueMe and gave me bit of advice about setting up a blog of my own. So really, it was with Suzanne's influence that I finally went ahead and set Emma Jane up some time later.

My two friends and I stayed the night before the workshop, as we live around two hours away and didn't want to be leaving super early in the morning to be traveling down the road, and well really- any excuse for a night away with the girls heh?

Sues Outfit - Dress
(My outfit details are all linked at the bottom!)

From Sue's Snapchat, I had a rough idea of what the workshops entailed - and I was so looking forward to it. We got up and started to get ready, and the first thing we all noticed was the view we had from the room! WOW! Was it any wonder that Sue had picked this hotel, the view alone was amazing. We headed to get breakfast and Dylan (her fiancé) was walking in before us, I'm not going to lie, the whole way through our breakfast we were watching to see if Sue walked in to join him haha.
So, after our delicious breakfast (staring at the door!) we headed down to get checked in, we were just standing outside the doors before the room was ready with everyone and watching all the lovely girls walking in and, of course, the style! Does anyone else just love people watching? Hotels and airports are nearly my two favourite places, I can't be the only person here right?

When we walked in, Sue's younger sister was signing us all in and she asked me for my name for one of the best dressed people, I was so flattered! But with all the style in the room, I didn't think it would be me winning!
We were allowed to sit where ever we wanted to, so naturally we got right to the front of the stage and the runway so we could see it all!

It started off with Sue giving a inspirational talk about her life before the blog really took off and even before that. I love it when people open up and tell you about themselves, it makes you feel like you really know the person that is actually talking to you, rather than them just reading of a sheet!
I loved that she told her mum and dad that she passed her course at College when she really didn't, then they only found out when she published it in her first book! So funny, and it goes to show that you don't need to have a top class education and brains to burn when it comes to success.

We had afternoon tea, some drinks and time to freshen up as we prepared for the afternoon.
Sue used her own brush set and contour pallet (review coming soon!) to show us a demo, it was brilliant and it showed us which way she uses it herself.

Then we had the live fashion show which Sue chose the clothes for the three stunning models. All the looks were fab, but I really did have my favourite and anybody who follows me on snapchat (emmajanemooney) will have seen. This beautiful pink and red outfit, it so shouldn't go together, but they work so so well! As soon as it came out, I fell in love with it. I can't wait to wear this in the summer, I've linked all the items below so you can have a cheeky look yourself!

We then had the lovely Louise from LMD salon showing us how to perfect the brows and smoky eye, I mean who doesn't want to perfect that?!

I think just about every girl in the country follows LMD, but if you don't you're missing out big time, she really is the Queen of make-up around here! When Louise got on stage she told us about how she was so nervous before, but who wouldn't be when getting onto a stage in front of that many girls watching your every move, but she quickly got into the swing of things and wowed everyone with her amazing make up skills, tips and her one liners!! Finally, Sue shared her top products with us and why she loves them so much, before announcing the winners of the Best Dressed, Best Instagram and Best Tweet. There was a raffle being held for two amazing baskets of goodies and the proceeds went towards the Buncrana tragedy, such a lovely gesture from Sue and her family.

If you follow me on Facebook, you will have known that I won Best Dressed at the event! When Sue read my name out, I really couldn't believe it, to some people it seems so meaningless, but I really do love fashion and to be picked by Sue as best dressed, I really was so happy. I was given this amazing beautiful NewBridge Sliver Bracelet!

I actually had two outfits to choose between in the morning, and I'm so glad that I went with this one after all, I loved it! (and it was soo comfy!)

Shoes- Primark

So overall, it really was a brilliant day; I got a weekend away with the girls, a SoSueMe contour pallete, a great goody bag, learnt so much, got given a beautiful bracelet, I won Best Dressed and I met the lovely lady herself, who gave me some great advice after it! Hopefully there will be another workshop soon!
Thanks for reading girlies, Emma Jane xx
