Evening ladies..On a night like tonight, is there really any better feeling than jumping into a roasting hot shower, getting your fluffy PJ's on and sitting in front of the fire? It feels like it's the beginning of winter not the start of spring, oh how I just love the Northern Irish Weather!!

In the past week or so, I have popped up on my Snapchat (emmajanemooney) the shower scrub from Lush cosmetics called RUB RUB RUB that I LOVE and you guys have been going crazy about it, I honestly thought everyone already knew about this and I was late to the party!

Margiie and myself were in Belfast one day shopping (surprise surprise) and we popped into Lush, let's face it you can never really walk past it can you..the smell just lures you in!
We got talking to the most fabulous sales assistant called Alex and he was amazing, he knew so much about the products and within talking to us for a matter of minutes he knew exactly what we liked!

Part of what I love about the Lush shop so much, is the fact you can try most things in store, so you actually know if you'll love it before you buy it. We had been trying a few scrubs and just wanted something that would leave our skin feeling silky smooth when you stepped out of the shower, and boy did we get that. When we both covered our hands in the scrub and put them in the big silver bowl to wash off, we both just looked at each other and laughed. It sounds silly, but we did, we literally couldn't believe how it felt, even now I can't really describe it- it felt like I had put my hands into a pot of baby oil or popped on a pair of super soft gloves or something, it was so strange!

You can use if before or after you shower, but personally, I feel it works better if you use it before, as you are getting it directly onto the skin without it starting to dissolve due to the water touching it. So just as I'm about to jump into the shower standing there freezing my ass off, I rub rub rub! Then when I get into the shower I let the water run off and I feel like I have the skin of a new born baby basically? Elbows and knees are always a hard area of your body to get rid of that dry and tough skin, but this is one of the only scrubs I've used that has got rid of that in just one use- making putting tan on that much easier and smoother.
I personally have always used the Garnier body moisturiser for dry skin as I think it works the best, it drys in seconds so your not waiting around for it to dry or left feeling all sticky, it smells great, a little goes a long way and it is super cheap.

Alex was also the one that told me the clever idea about the bath oil I also put up on my snapchat a while ago. I, like most people, are obsessed with the Snow Fairy shower gel, but sadly you can only pick it up around Christmas time. So he told me this amazing trick, the smell of it is what I love most to be honest (it honestly smells amazing, I can't even put into words how much I love it!)

If you have a little candle burner, break the marshmallow scented bath oil in half, pop it on top and when it melts.. Tah Dah!!! your room now smells like you've walked into a princesses bedroom. You can of course us it in the bath too, but this is just how I like to use as I am more of a shower girl!
Thanks for reading, now get snuggled into your PJ's!

Valentines Gifts..

Hi everyone and happy Monday! Why do weekends always go past so quick? Especially now my first Sunday back to work is over, I need another day after Sunday where it's actually like the law for everyone to do nothing and just lie in front of the fire with cups of tea alllll day!

Nowadays you can't really avoid Valentine's day, as much as maybe you want to, you can't, it's everywhere you go. Even down to coffee shops having Valentine signs up, whats up with that? Am I the only person that thinks Valentine decorations are weird? But anyway, today's post is just some little ideas if anyone needs any last min inspo for Tuesday, yes boys I'm looking at you!

Valentine's doesn't necessarily mean you have to go out and spent a fortune on one another just ''because I have to, it's Valentine's'' there are a million ways that you can tell someone you love them or are thinking of them, if it isn't that far yet!

An all year round winner for me and most ladies I know is the old cliché, yip its flowers. I just think there is something so romantic and sweet about getting a bunch of flowers delivered to your door, I love it! Moonpig, Interflora, Bloom & Wild and Next are some of the best websites around for quick, fast and beautiful flower deliveries, but sometimes they can be super pricey, especially at this time of year everyone seems to put their prices up. So ring your nearest florist, or a florist in the direction where the flowers are going and see if that works out cheaper, and sometimes their bouquets are bigger!

Heres a list of a few more ideas in case you lot have had a mind blank!

Perfume- having a sneak peak at her bottle if you don't know the name, this one is super easy. Make- up, we can never have too much! Jewellery, Valentine's just screams Pandora doesn't it? Chocolates- diet or no diet, we always want chocolate- ALWAYS. Underwear- Most ladies I know love underwear more than their man, there's something about the way you feel when you wear a matching set, and you'll enjoy it too no doubt haha. A Spa weekend, again I think men enjoy these more than women but just never let on- something for the both of you. Or the dress she's been looking at for ages, lastly the simplest but sometimes the best- just taking her out to her favourite restaurant.

It really doesn't have to be anything extreme, or anything at all if you're not into that. Sometimes a meaningful card and the effort of that alone is worth more than any spa weekend to some ladies. Even all of those ice queens out there secretly love Valentine's, so buy them the damn card!

Now to the men, this is the tricky one I think. Men always think we are are the hard ones to buy for but in reality they are worse, even taking them shopping and showing them it in front of them they still don't know and let you decide! How many pairs of socks can you buy them really, and I'm sure they are all stocked up from Christmas haha. Here's some ideas I've seen if anyone else is stuck..

Clothes- let's be honest we pick most of their clothes anyway, so this one is a benefit to both of you rather than them continuing to wear the same shirt or t-shirt over and over again!
A new aftershave they have been wanting to try out, a smart watch for when he takes you to dinner for Valentine's haha. Their favourite football shirt if they haven't got it already, if you know what it is- whatever you do, don't buy the wrong one girls! A rally experience if they are into that kind of stuff; this is a great idea, such a good day out.
A little city break for the both of you- you get away somewhere where no doubt shopping will be involved and he gets off work for the weekend and gets to have some beer.. Book it! Football/Rugby tickets, it means you'll get a free day with the girls when he's away too, this is all win win stuff here girls haha.

Whatever you get up to on Valentines day, or if its just a normal Tuesday for you I hope it a good one, Theres an outfit post coming this week so keep an eye out for that one.

Thanks for reading as always

Made up..

Hey girlies, happy hump day! I hope everyone had a brilliant weekend whatever you got up to, only a few more days to go until its that time again, hold on in there!

If you know me personally you will have known that my big sister Ciara FINALLY got engaged last year, after 8 years with her boyfriend Rory, my now brother-in-law to be. It sounds so weird saying that out loud, it's so real. When Rory was planning the proposal, he asked me to pack a bag of clothes for Ciara so she could change after and go for dinner to celebrate as she wouldn't have anything with her, so I felt I was kind of part of it as I knew what was going on. At the weekend Ciara organised afternoon tea and I knew nothing about it - and, surprisingly ,I loved that part of it!

She asked me, my younger sister Fionnula, her goddaughter Eibhlinn and our best friend Margiie to come along ... we kind of guessed it was to be asked to be part of her big day- we aren't entirely stupid haha, but she had the most perfect afternoon planned out for us. We walked into our kitchen and the table was so lovely laid out with afternoon tea, prosecco and four individual wooden boxes sitting out with our names on top of each one in little wooden scrabble pieces - it was the cutest!

When we opened our boxes there was a sign in each one, and she had asked me to be her Maid of Honour! I am so excited and happy that Ciara asked me to not only be a part of her and Rory's big day, but also to be her Maid of Honour!
In our boxes, there was an old, ridiculous photo of Ciara with each of us, she really could have picked a better photo to be honest haha. A mini bottle of Prosecco, a packet of tissues (which were there in case we cried apparently haha), lip bam in the cutest packaging, a mini 'Wedding Day' Yankee Candle, Love Heart sweeties of course, a mini bottle of body mist in my fav - vanilla. And lastly, a little bag full of all the emergency things you never think of getting- tissues, earring backs, a nail file, hair clips, bobbles... all the little things you need but never think of getting!

We had such a brilliant girlie day, and being asked to be Maid of Honour along side these gorgeous lot made it that much better. So excited to start helping with all the planning, including the hen party! Woohooo I can't wait all ready haha!

On Sunday we headed to the Wedding Journal show in Belfast with our mammy to see if we could pick up a few things and a few ideas. If anyone watched my snapchat, you would have seen what it was like, such a brilliant day out with so much to see and it full of ideas for all different types of weddings. The flower wall and catwalk show was clearly my favourite part of it, I wanted to be up there with them dancing and strutting my stuff too, it was amazing!

I'm back to work full time again now, thank god might I add. I was starting to pull my hair out doing nothing, so I'm glad to get stuck back in again and finally have a structured routine rather than having none to my day at all. I will miss the 7 days a week shopping (but I am pretty sure my bank balance won't), head down and back into it!
But for the mean time, if anyone has any quirky hen party ideas, give me a shout I'm open to anything!

Thanks for reading as always dolls
